Project Details:
Students utilized the Design Process to create their lantern in the following courses: Gifted, Robotics, Art, and Engineering. Students from the Elementary, Junior, and Senior Academies participated in the project.
Different classes approached the project differently. Each instructor/ student group used different materials, had different requirements, and had different methods. All courses and student lantern designs were unified under the same theme: "Soaring." Sample materials used include: bamboo blinds, untreated bamboo, Elmers glue, tissue paper, wire, balloons, and plastic wrap. LEDs, coin batteries, wire, LED strings, and tap lights were used for the light source. |
