Drew Mountain Ski Resort:

Drew Mountain Ski Resort was a joint project executed November and December (2013) between the Robotics, Visual Arts, and Engineering Design classes.  The Robotics classes created the base station and lift receiving station at the top of the mountain along with the mechanisms required to move the lift pods.  The Visual Arts classes designed the mountain as well as the skiers and environment.  The 2nd Grade Engineering Design Class (Ms. Beard's class), designed 4 unique pods to travel up the lift.

Engineering Design students researched pods: the shape needed, the size necessary, best materials for the job, and safety concerns.  Students created sketches of their ideas and then created models of their pods.  The models were then added to the the lift and tested.  Students presented their work at PBL night on December 12th.
