February 4th - 7th 2013
Paul Hammock from the Atlanta Preservation Center came and worked with Junior Academy Students. He discussed issues surrounding architecture and urban planning. Students learned about different types of buildings (residential, commercial, civic, and industrial). Then student drew up plans for their own building for our imaginary model city. Next students created their buildings using boxes. Students voted for the placement of their buildings with-in our mock city based on the needs of the community.
