Designorama Defined:
Drew Charter School celebrates things people create themselves — from new technology and electronic gizmos to food creation to homemade jewelry, clothes and sculptures. This family-friendly event demonstrates what and how people are inventing, making and creating. It brings together Makers, Crafters, Inventors, Hackers, Scientists and Artists for a fair full of fun and inspiration. Come see what others are making and be inspired to tap into your own creativity!
Last year was awesome! Everyone enjoyed the Flight theme and we had fantastic support from the maker community. We had Decatur Makers as well as the Kirkwood Makers, The Westminster Schools Makers, and the Boy Scouts with the Pinewood Derby. We had a couple Star Wars cast members join us. Several drones flew in for a visit, not to mention a helicopter landed and took one of our contest winners on a short trip downtown! Our student makers from the Drew Elementary Engineering Design class showed off their Soap Box Derby Car. Plus ACC Toyota brought Drifting to our parking lot! Many others joined us and inspired our students, staff, parents and surrounding community. Click on the button below to see a full list of last year's participants.
We are currently looking for vendors, presenters and participants of all kinds. This year we have a Construction inspired theme. DESIGNORAMA will take place on Saturday March 26th on Drew Charter Schools Junior and Senior Academy Campus at 3PM. Please join the Drew community as we educate while we make!
